Ritch Sibthorpe is the founder and managing consultant of Muwzo, an AI and partnerships advisory organisation, which currently works with a range of high-profile copyright and licensing agencies. Having spent two decades at the forefront of content licensing, marketing, and creative development, Ritch is now dedicated to sharing his knowledge on the future of arts and creativity with the growing dominance of AI in such industries.
Beginning as a junior creative, progressing to the head of digital, for a variety of companies such as Lexis and WPR, Ritch joined Warner Music Group in 2008, becoming the Vice President for digital marketing and content partnerships. After four years, he moved to the Walt Disney Company, serving as managing director of Disney Music Group, growing his experience within the creative industries. Following a lengthy tenure, Ritch spent a short stint at Chelsea Football Club, working as the Head of Global Marketing. During this time, he added to his impressive roster by achieving a Masters in Literature and Arts from the University of Oxford, honing his knowledge and strengthening the foundations of his future ventures. In 2022, he joined Meta as the head of international music publishing partnerships. The following year, Ritch established his consultancy Muwzo, specialising in licensing data for AI training and retrieval-augmented generation.
From this venture, he has built up a list of major clients, including the Publishers’ Licensing Services, Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society, the Design and Artists Copyright Society, Avalon, and the Copyright Licensing Agency. He is currently aiding the latter’s collective AI training license for the publishing industry, the first of its kind worldwide. Muwzo recently became a member of the Music Technology UK Community, and Ritch recently served on the advisory committee for the Digital TV Group Summit and represented Muwzo by speaking at SXSW London 2025.
