Peter Bowler

Australian Cricketer Peter Bowler is a former wicketkeeper batsman who had a prolific career that spanned nearly two decades. A pleasure to work with on and off the pitch, Bowler transitioned from professional sports to event speaking with ease as he impresses audiences with his insight to the game.

Prior to making his first-class debut for Leicester, Bowler played three youth Test Matches in the Pakistan tour of 1982. In 1986 he shone during his first match for the domestic team and made a century, an achievement that got him noticed as a rising star. Between 1987 and 2004 Bowler played for Derbyshire, Somerset, and Tasmania, where he reached his highest season average of nearly 66 runs.

Balancing his career across two ends of the world, Peter Bowler managed to play over 300 matches for his teams and was handed the captaincy of Somerset in 1997/98 due to some excellent performances. Being given this responsibility and honor showed how much faith and trust the management had in Bowler’s ability, something which he repaid them with, in his efforts on the pitch. Finishing on a high, he retired in 2004 having scored over 19,000 runs.

Since retirement, Bowler has transitioned into a new career as an entrepreneur and businessman. He has practiced law, runs a residential company and owns a bespoke mortgage advisory comany. Furthermore, he continues as an accomplished and recognised sports speaker, focusing his efforts as a specific cricket speaker with the ability to deliver keynote and after-dinner speeches.
