Paul Broadhurst

Former professional golfer, Paul Broadhurst is a six times European Champion that has become one of the most recognised British golfers of all time.

An extremely successful individual, Paul first came into the limelight after he became the leading amateur golfer at the 1988 Open Championship. After joining the European Tour in 1989, Paul received his first win at the Credit Lyonnais Open and was named the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year, officially establishing his name into the golfing world. It was in 1991 that Paul took part in his first Ryder Cup.

However, during the year 2000, Paul suffered a serious injury to his right hand during the second round of the Dubai Desert Classic, and thus was unable to compete for the rest of 2000. He struggled to play through 2001 and 2002, but eventually was able to get back into the game in 2003, overcoming his adversity.

Furthermore, after turning 50, Paul went on to play on the senior circuit, to great success. During the many senior events he has competed in he won the 2016 Senior Open Championship and the 2018 Senior PGA Championship.

During his vast and experience career, Paul was awarded the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year in 1989 and won the European Senior Tour Order of Merit winner twice in 2016 and 2018. He also won a staggering six European tours, five PGA Champions tours and five European Senior tours.

In more recent years, Paul has grown in popularity on the speaker circuit. He has also offered golf tuition and coaching, providing his clients insight into how he achieved the success that he did and the boost to get them onto the next level. He allows his attendees to pick his knowledge and apply it to their own game.

A brilliantly talented player, Paul has become just as talented at event speaking, whether it be as an after dinner speaker,, keynote speaker, compare or facilitator. He has a wonderful ability to connect with the audience through the mutual love of sport, as well as discussing his own success and falls from throughout his vast career.
