Patrick Hutchinson

Patrick Hutchinson is the Co-Founder and Director of pHKind, a retail health and personal care products brand. An athletics coach, personal trainer and martial artist, Patrick keeps health and fitness at the core of actions. Best known for his heroic act of saving a right-wing protestor from being beaten up during the Black Lives Matter movement protests, Patrick is now available to speak about health, wellness, diversity and inclusion and race at a wide range of events.

Growing up in a single-parent household, Patrick was introduced to the importance of determination and resilience very early on in his life. He successfully led a 25-year long career in the corporate world through roles such as Senior Shift Analyst at BNP Paribas, Technical Operations Team Lead at Rabobank, Global Technical Operations Team Lead at Nomura Asset Management and Technical Project Manager at Vnetrix.

Post his act of bravery during the BLM movement, Patrick came to be known as a catalyst for change. His pure intentions were recognised, and he was featured in news outlets like BBC, ITV, Channel 4, CNN, The New York Times, The Guardian, Mens Health, GQ, and Vogue. He won several accolades such as the GQ Hero Award, GQ Humanitarian Award, CNN Heroes Award and the London Chamber of Commerce Black Excellence Award.

Author of “Everybody Against Racism: A Letter to My Children”, Patrick is passionate about clarifying that the BLM movement is not about white people versus black people but instead everybody versus racists. In 2020 he became the Co-Founder and Director of United to Change and Inspire and an Advisory Board Member of the Black British Initiative. He is also an Ambassador of Hope Collective, the Rio Ferdinand Foundation and the Payment Choice Alliance.
