Parveen is chef presenter of a Indian cooking show, Parveen’s Indian Kitchen. This ITV daytime series series Parveen take viewers on a journey of discovery about authentic Indian cooking delving into regional recipes both here in the UK and in the bustling flavour packed streets of India.
Parveen’s journey began in Yorkshire where she was born. The middle child of seven, she certainly lived up to the attention seeking, outgoing attributes often associated with ‘middle child syndrome.’ She believes her approachable manner and tenacity is definitely due to her northern upbringing. Parveen married and moved to London, where she worked in sales and marketing. However, she always had a passion for cooking. After a being diagnosed with a tumour and undergoing four operations - she turned her back on the corporate world and decided to turn her passion into her business.
She set up her catering company and designed her own range of spices which were inspired by her eldest son - who went to university and wanted a taste of home. She now caters all around the UK as well as Europe. Her client base includes royalty as well as curry loving celebrities. Parveen is a natural raconteur and tells her story with fun, frivolity and with heart. She is more than happy to share her story and her journey so far - including the perils and pitfalls of setting up her business, the dilemma in finding her USP and brand, which she finally did by default!

"On International Women’s Day, my team and I wanted a local female speaker for our networking event. We wanted someone who was a natural networker in terms of her ability to engage with people. A decision was taken to ask Parveen to speak to our members. I have had the pleasure of tasting Parveen’s amazing food when I hired her to cater for several of our high-end clients, including a Soirée at a Maserati showroom when launching our new magazine. Parveen is passionate about her profession and that is evident when she speaks. However, it’s her ability to connect with her audiences that we were impressed with - she had us all laughing at her humorous anecdotes one minute, then in tears the next, when talking about late mother who is the inspiration behind her new cookbook. Parveen sense of humour and sense of fun makes her talks engaging and a joy to watch. I would recommend her services without hesitation."

"Parveen came to speak to our Business Management students about her business in February 2018. She is an inspirational speaker, really engaging with a great delivery and able to grip an audience right from the beginning. She brought along a range of relevant visual aids that helped students picture what her business was about. She has a great style and the students stayed behind after her talk to find out more about what she does. I would have no hesitation in recommending Parveen as a speaker for a wide variety of events. Her passion and commitment are evident and the time she spent with us went very quickly because of her top quality presentational skills. After her presentation she took a wide range of questions and was able to handle them expertly."

"Ragged Edge Productions has recently completed the second national tour of The Chef Show. This unique production was a comedy play that incorporated a guest chef local to each venue we played in. Our guest chefs were on stage throughout the performance delivering an extended cookery demonstration and at several points in the production they were the subject of live, semi-improvised conversations with our professional actors about the culture and working practice of Asian cuisine.Parveen Ashraf (Parveen the Spice Queen) was an outstanding guest chef. She was very comfortable in a public performance setting - natural, well-informed and prepared with an engaging and entertaining personality. Parveen was so enthusiastic about the project she appeared in three shows. Our production team thoroughly enjoyed working with Parveen - she offered many creative ideas, collaborated well with the actors and had a very savvy approach to dealing with the audience and public in promoting the production. I would not hesitate to work with her again in the future."
