Pamela Gupta is the founder of Trusted AI, working to design global frameworks for successful AI implementation within organisations. A globally ranked pioneer in AI governance, Pamela created the AI TIPS Framework in 2019, revising it in 2025, to advance AI standards and transform them into systems that produce measurable results.
She began her career as a security architect, moving to various companies from the mid 90’s to the early 2000s. In 2004, she served as Director of Information Security Risk for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where she offered guidance on managing the biggest technology refresh project that impacted the entire company. After 6 years, she joined Higher One as a Chief Information Officer before founding Trusted AI, using strategic approaches to scaling AI and machine learning for value, and the Northeast Annual Cybersecurity Summit. Following this venture, she also founded ISC2, a not-for-profit membership organisation of certified information security professionals worldwide, and IoT Security Foundation, which collaborated across fields to ensure IoT applications are secure system-wide. In 2020, she founded Advancing Trust in AI. The following year, she joined the Global CISO Leadership Foundation, and in 2023, she was a part of the Cyber Future Foundation, specialising in responsible AI and cybersecurity leadership. Pamela has held various advisory and consultancy roles for organisations such as Quinnipiac University, AIEthics.World, AI 2030, and most recently, the US Department of Defence at the Pentagon.
As a result of her career, Pamela has also served as the Smart Security Privacy Group Co-Chair for GCTC SC3 Smart Cities and the Chair for IEEE AI Cybersecurity. An award-winning voice in responsible AI and governance, Pamela has been globally ranked as #3 in Risk Management and #7 in Global AI Security, is the recipient of the 2025 Joseph J.
