Oscar Cooper

Oscar Cooper is a sports marketing strategist and entrepreneur known for his work at the heart of Formula 1 marketing. As the Founder of Oscar Charles Associates (OCA) and former Senior Red Bull Relations & Events Manager at Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology, Oscar has helped shape world-class brand experiences that connect global audiences with elite motorsport.

Oscar’s early career combined strong academic foundations with practical marketing experience. He studied BA Economics and Politics (International) at the University of Leeds, graduating with a 2:1, and expanded his global perspective during a study abroad programme at City University of Hong Kong, where he explored Asian economic development and cultural change. While at university, Oscar began working with Red Bull as a Student Brand Manager, a role that introduced him to experiential marketing and brand engagement. In this position he organised campus activations and collaborated with influential student communities to grow brand awareness. His early professional experiences also included placements with Airbus Defence and Space and KPMG UK, where he developed analytical thinking, project coordination skills and commercial awareness that would later support his work in high-performance sporting environments.

Oscar’s career progressed rapidly once he joined Red Bull’s marketing organisation full time. He initially worked as a Field Marketing Specialist at Red Bull, helping to deliver consumer marketing campaigns and experiential events across London and the South East. His success in this role led to a move into the Formula 1 environment, where he became Red Bull Relations & Events Manager at Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology, later advancing to Senior Red Bull Relations & Events Manager. During his time embedded within the team, Oscar delivered major brand activations including live Formula 1 car demonstrations in global cities, exclusive experiences around Grand Prix weekends and international filming projects. Oscar also worked closely with engineers and drivers to communicate the complexities of Formula 1 technology to fans, partners and media audiences. This period coincided with a dominant era for the team, as Red Bull Racing secured multiple Formula 1 World Championship titles, further strengthening the brand’s global reputation and reach.

Following nearly a decade within Red Bull’s global marketing organisation, Oscar launched Oscar Charles Associates (OCA), establishing himself as an entrepreneur and strategic adviser within the sports marketing industry. Through his agency he works with leading brands, rights holders and organisations to create innovative brand activations that blend commercial ambition with operational precision. As a keynote speaker, Oscar shares rare behind-the-scenes insights from Formula 1 and global sports marketing, speaking on topics such as brand activation, storytelling in motorsport, innovation and the global influence of Formula 1. Audiences gain practical lessons on teamwork, innovation and performance, delivered through compelling stories from one of the most dynamic environments in global sport.
