Despite her professional achievements, life threw her an unimaginable challenge in 2020 when she was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma. During the global pandemic, she underwent 12 months of gruelling chemotherapy and surgeries, emerging victorious against the odds.
In 2023, within a year of remission, Ngozi embraced a new challenge: competing in the Mrs Universe pageant. Using the competition as a platform to share her story and raise awareness for rare cancers, she was crowned Mrs Exceptional Lady Universe 2023. This achievement marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life as a public figure and advocate. She also delivered her first TEDx talk in 2024 on the topic of overcoming F.E.A.R to triumph, further cementing her status as an inspiring thought leader.
