As an author and former comedian, Natalie is a regular columnist in both The Guardian and The Independent, as well as having published four books; The Ancient Guide To Modern Life, The Great Escape, The Amber Fury and Children of Jocasta. Natalie has also written essays and contributions for a variety of books, including Serenity Found, which centres on Joss Whedon’s Firefly series.
She presented The Body Beautiful – Ancient Greeks, Good Looks and Glamour, a documentary focusing on beauty standards throughout the ages, based on the Defining Beauty Exhibition at The British Museum, which aired on BBC 4 and BBC World News.
Natalie can also be heard regularly on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row and Saturday Review on which she contributes as a reviewer. She has appeared as a team captain for three seasons on quiz show Wordaholics.
