Mark Millar

Mark Millar is a celebrated carpenter, TV presenter, and property developer, widely recognised for his roles on home renovation programmes like BBC’s DIY SOS and Channel 5’s Build Your Dream Home in the Country. With over three decades of experience in the building industry, his biggest achievement to date is leading large-scale, life-changing projects that transform not just homes, but entire communities.

Mark's journey began in Northern Ireland, where he initially trained as a chef before pivoting to carpentry through an apprenticeship. After four years of honing his craft, he moved to London and later settled in Bristol, where he established a successful building firm. His rise in the construction world was built on a solid reputation, which eventually attracted attention in the TV industry, launching his career as a presenter. Mark joined DIY SOS in 2005 as the project manager, where his leadership and expertise helped transform the show into a national favourite. Over his 16 years on the programme, it received multiple accolades, including a BAFTA nomination. 

Mark has since gone on to present Channel 5's Dream Kitchens and Bathrooms and Build Your Dream Home in the Country. In 2020, he spearheaded the building of the UK’s first-ever surf school for people with disabilities with DIY SOS, further demonstrating his dedication to meaningful, community-focused projects.
