Lorraine Wright MBE is an inspirational entrepreneur and public figure bridging the gap between the Ghanaian diaspora and Ghana for business and investment opportunities. Currently, the UK Regional Lead at Meta for the Community Accelerator Program, Lorraine’s career journey and progression from a humble London council estate to working in senior roles for some of the world's most prestigious organisations has been one of resilience and triumph. Highly educated, Lorraine earned a BSc in Information Systems from Brunel University before completing an Executive Master of Business Administration at the prestigious Said Business School, University of Oxford. She began her professional career as an Information Systems PMO at Volkswagen before joining Smart Technology Solutions Limited as a Project Manager / Technical Project Admin. In 2010, Lorraine moved to Chicago to work as an IT Project Manager for Solex. After two years as a Management Consultant at Accenture, she joined UBS as a Senior Director, spending over a decade at the prestigious firm. At UBS, Lorraine was credited with delivering multi-million-pound tech projects and pioneering the digital platforms facilitating the bank’s social work through the Optimus Foundation and Community Affairs.
Alongside her distinguished corporate career, Lorraine has held a number of highly successful side hustles and projects. She is the founder of the University Gospel Choir Of The Year, which saw her awarded an MBE by Queen Elizabeth for services to young people through music. Lorraine is also the owner of multiple businesses, including Liona Nails and Liona Lashes and has supplied talent through her music talent agency, UV Talent, for prominent shows such as the X Factor, The Voice, BGT, BBC Proms and Mariah Carey. Moreover, Lorraine is an Advisor to Grow For Me, a cutting-edge Google-backed startup addressing food security in Ghana.
