Leila Hurstel

On a mission to prepare businesses and individuals alike for the Metaverse, Leila Hurstel is a leading expert on creating virtual worlds, NFTs, Web3 strategies and virtual fashion. Also determined to close the gender gap in the technology industry and build an inclusive Web3, Leila is famed as the Founder of AllStarsWomen DAO. Currently working as the Chief Metaverse Officer of Verse Estate, Leila is also frequently booked as a Metaverse speaker, who educates audiences on the importance of building an inclusive Metaverse and the possibilities that a Metaverse promises for future generations.

After completing a degree in Economics and Business at UCL, and an online Fintech Innovation & Technology course at Harvard University, Leila began her career working as an Analyst for Deutsche Bank. She later joined the Algorithmic Trader Programme at Alphachain Capital, before becoming a Member of the Board of Advisors of Cyber Gear. In February of 2022, Leila became a Consortium Member of PHYGICODE, helping brands to find their place in the Metaverse whilst balancing their physical and digital convergence. Now the Chief Metaverse Officer of Verse Estate, Leila sits at the helm of one of the first Metaverses bringing hyper-realism to VR, launching a series of exclusive penthouses and villas through NFTs.

During the course of her career in technology and the Metaverse, Leila has identified the lack of female talent within the sector, and is now determined to close the gender gap in the tech space. In order to achieve a closed gender gap, Leila founded AllStarsWomen DAO to offer women the resources they need to thrive in tech careers. Within AllStarsWomen DAO, Leila offers a Startup Factory for women-centric leadership programs, a Web3Academy providing a masterclass on Web3 and a Diversity Recruitment Agency to lead talented women to opportunities for jobs in Web3. Determined to create an inclusive Web3 and Metaverse, Leila helps organisations to implement detailed D&I strategies that prioritise equal representation and healthy workplace environments.

Also working with brands and celebrities to help them transition into the Metaverse, Leila is now available to hire as a Metaverse speaker for a range of industry events. Having also been a Community Partner of the WomenTech Network, a Member of the Dubai Business Women Council and a Member of the Forbes Women Forum, Leila is determined to increase diversity across the technology industry and see women have equal opportunities as men do.
