Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson is an Academy Award-winning actress, co-founder of fitness brand Fabletics and author. She was propelled to international prominence for her exceptional depiction of Penny Lane in the film Almost famous which she won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress and received an Oscar nomination. Kate is one of the most loved romantic comedies stars and has dominated the genre throughout the 2000s.

Born in 1979 in Los Angeles to prominent acting parents, with her mother being an Academy Award-winning actress and her father a talented comedian and musician, Kate has spent much of her life trying to avoid being connected with her famous parents’ names, determined to succeed in her merit. After graduating from college, although she was accepted to New Your University, she decided to focus on her acting career instead making her film debut in 1998 in Desert Blue. Kate is known for 200 Cigarettes, Dr T & the Women and Gossip and has spent much of the early 2000s starring in several romantic comedies such as How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Alex & Emma, You, Me and Dupree, Fool’s Gold, Bride Wars and Raising Helen to name a few.

Kate has won multiple prestigious awards for her phenomenal acting including Satellite Award, Golden Globe Award, Academy Award, BAFTA Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She is the author of Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body and Pretty Fun: Creating and Celebrating a Lifetime of Tradition Outside of acting Kate is a talented businesswoman having co-founded Fabletics she has also recently signed a multi-year deal to be the ambassador for New York & Company promoting and developing her fashion line. In 2018 Kate collaborated with her mother Goldie to create a capsule collection, promising 50% of the proceeds to the Goldie Hawn Foundation.

In 2019 she launched King St. Vodka and an up-and-coming podcast on Apple called Siblings Revelry. Kate is one of the most talented actresses who has starred in several high-grossing movies. Her ability to portray characters in such a convincing way has resulted in Kate winning many prestigious accolades. She is an author, podcast host and exceptional businesswoman.
