Jo Hurley is a passionate nutritional therapist who specialises in reproductive health. With the ability to translate emerging science into insightful conversations that change how audiences understand their bodies, Jo brings together nutrition, fertility and the rapidly evolving science of the reproductive microbiome. Recognising that many areas of reproductive health are often overlooked, she works to make knowledge around the human body readily accessible, engaging and relevant to everyday life. Jo's work encompasses the vaginal, uterine and seminal microbiomes alongside inflammation, gut health, nutrition, lifestyle and male reproductive health, drawing on her extensive experience.
Jo's career began with more than a decade in senior programme and operations roles across advertising and communications, gaining early experience at News International, Lionsgate, TalkBackThames, BBC Television and Paramount Pictures between 2007 and 2012. In 2013, Jo joined Carat, where she served as Innovation Manager, before progressing to Programme Director in 2017. She subsequently held senior positions as Project Director at WPP and Digital Programme Director at Ogilvy, before becoming Project Director at Dentso Creative. Her extensive commercial background gives her a distinctive perspective on understanding health in the workplace.
Finding her passion with a Diploma of Education, Clinical Nutrition from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition, she established Jo Hurley Health in 2022 as a Clinical Nutritionist. She later joined ScreenMe, a reproductive microbiome testing company, as a Nutrition and Education Advisor in 2024. Working with women, men and couples navigating fertility challenges and reproductive health concerns, Jo helps them understand the key role that nutrition and lifestyle can play. Continuing to deepen her expertise, Jo is additionally beginning an MRes in Reproductive Science and Women's Health at University College London.
Jo's devotion to bringing reproductive health education to a wider public audience led her to create feedyourfanny. Through posting engaging and accessible content, she is able to spread awareness and influence across the globe. Alongside social media, she partners with schools and universities across the UK to educate and empower young women about reproductive health. Combining her first-hand knowledge and personal love for good quality food ingredients, Jo's approach supports a more balanced and holistic way of improving your health through nourishing long-term changes. An experienced speaker on women's health, menopause, nutrition, fertility, energy and performance, Jo leaves audiences with actionable insights that last well beyond the applause.
