Hilarious and critically acclaimed comedian, Jen Brister, is a powerful force on both the comedy and speaker circuits. From performing on BBC’s Live at the Apollo, QI, and Mock the Week to delivering engaging talks on the TEDx stage, there’s little this versatile performer can’t do. Jen is known for her ability to effortlessly switch between witty event hosting, headlining shows, and delivering insightful keynote speeches on gender norms and family relationships.
Jen has written and performed seven solo shows, many of which have been toured extensively after sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, solidifying her reputation as a sharp, quick-witted performer. Some of her most notable appearances include Frankie Boyle’s New World Order and The Weakest Link, in addition to her headline tours across top UK and international comedy clubs.
Her comedy memoir, The Other Mother, published in 2019, has been widely praised, and her latest stand-up show Meaningless can be streamed on Soho Comedy Live, Next Up, and Amazon Prime. Jen's radio special Waves is available on BBC Sounds. As a writer, she’s worked on shows like Avoidance with Romesh Ranganathan and co-wrote Past Caring with Rosie Jones, which aired on SKY TV in 2023.
Jen’s influence extends far beyond stand-up. With over 919k followers on Instagram and 635k on TikTok, she is a renowned star online as well. Her TEDx talk in 2018 on ‘Changing the way we bring up our boys’ challenged traditional gender roles, showcasing her as an insightful and respected keynote speaker alongside her comedic talents. As The Sunday Times says, "Her energy is explosive. Her use of space and delivery mesmerising," while The Guardian calls her "furiously funny."

Feedback from In-person & Virtual Events
Virtual Events
During the Covid-19 pandemic and the temporary halt of live events, Jen was booked for a range of virtual events and webinars. Read her latest feedback below.
"I wanted to email you to say that Jen was brilliant today. We didn't get to thank her properly before the webinar ended, so please extend our thanks. Jen was our guest for International Women's Day exploring the theme of #breakthebias. Jen did a comedy set and then a longer Q&A where we explore everything from her book, The other mother, to representation and inclusion in comedy, and women's health. She was brilliant – really funny (obviously), and also very open, thoughtful and insightful. Jen's insights on gender equality and inclusion are relevant for all sectors" - Liz, Stephenson Harwood LLP
