Javed Laher

Javed Laher is an AI Futurist, technology strategist and keynote speaker recognised for helping organisations understand the real impact of artificial intelligence on business and society. With 15 years of experience across Microsoft, Amazon and IBM, his defining achievement was predicting the UK’s AI-driven skills gap through his MBA research years before it became a national priority.

Javed began his career in digital media and search, building commercial and technical expertise at Amazon before moving into senior leadership at Microsoft. As PPC Search Lead at Microsoft UK, he recruited and managed a high-performing team while overseeing major agency relationships. He later progressed to Strategic Client Account Director, holding C-level partnerships and managing multimillion-pound portfolios. During this time, he earned the Breaking Ground Award at Microsoft and multiple 100% Attainment Awards for exceeding performance targets. Alongside his corporate roles, Javed completed a BSc in Business Management with Computing and an MBA from Brunel University London, where his dissertation on ‘The Rise of Artificial Intelligence’ received top honours. He further strengthened his strategic insight through executive education in Strategic Business Management at Harvard University.

Building on this foundation, Javed stepped into international leadership roles, including Sales Director EMEA at Mediaocean, Flashtalking, where he led AI-powered SaaS solutions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He later worked in enterprise AI SaaS and now serves as Global AI Consultant, Sales and Business Development at FutureTrain.ai, helping organisations and educators prepare for the AI-powered economy. Javed has been featured in Forbes, appeared on BBC and Sky TV, and contributed to Government-level panel discussions on AI policy and workforce transformation. He has partnered with the Greater London Authority to deliver AI education programmes in schools, bridging the gap between emerging technologies and real-world readiness. His career spans finance, retail, travel and automotive sectors, advising brands on AI, SaaS, cloud and machine learning adoption at scale.
