James Guy MBE is a decorated English swimming champion who specialises in freestyle and butterfly events. Throughout his illustrious career, James has won multiple gold medals over major international competitions. Such as the Olympic Games, World Championships, European Championships, and Commonwealth Games. With an impressive 45 major international medals, James is a huge name within the sporting world. After receiving a swimming scholarship to Millfield School at the young age of 13, James gained recognition early on by winning multiple medals at the European and World Junior Championships. James’ breakthrough came later in 2014, when he won 3 gold medals at the British Championships and his first senior international medals at the Commonwealth Games and World Championships.

Starting at the 2020 Summer Olympics, where he became a double Olympic champion and won gold in the 4x200m freestyle and the inaugural mixed medley relay, setting world and European records. James then went on to earn one gold, three silver, and two bronze medals at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Having defended his legacy multiple times, James went into the 2024 Summer Olympics ready to continue this streak of excellence. He did exactly that, winning gold in the 4x200m freestyle relay and becoming part of the first team to defend an Olympic relay title with the same swimmers.
