Dr Irwin is also remembered as a founding member of the Task Force on Terrorism of the American Academy of Paediatrics and for establishing the National Center for Disaster Preparedness. He has also served as the Co-Chair of NYS Ready Commission and been appointed to the National Commission on Children and Disasters. Having run health centres in some of America’s most impoverished communities, Dr Irwin has countless years of hands-on experience and is highly passionate about ensuring that everyone has access to the healthcare that they need.
