Award-winning host, Frankie Ward, has become somewhat of an icon in the gaming industry. On stage at all the industry’s most popular events, she is a key figure in the reporting, interviewing and hosting of eSports events.
With an experienced career history in the media, Frankie gained a passion for eSports after producing the BBC’s coverage of the 2015 League of Legends Quarterfinals and decided she wanted to follow that path. Prior to venturing into eSports Frankie spent ten years in producing and content roles for From a part-time position covering other hosts on camera at Twitch, Frankie progressed on to Ginx TV and ultimately, the chance of a lifetime as a co-host for PC Gamer Show. After her debut on the show, Frankie shot to fame in the eSports circuit and has gone on to host Counterstrike Global Offensive, PUBG and Hearthstone, and events for DreamHack and ESL. With a bubbly personality, Frankie has become an event favourite and most recently acted as a reporter at: DreamHack Dallas Masters, FACEIT Global Summit and League of Legends European Championship, all in 2019.
Equally comfortable on stage warming up crowds as she is interviewing competitors one to one, Frankie has had the opportunity to prove her versatility, in recent years. Hosting the PC Gaming Show at E3 in Los Angeles, she was well received by the audience of over fifty thousand fans. She garnered the same positive reaction to her appearance at the PUBG Global Invitational Finals in 2018.
To accompany her extensive live hosting experience, Frankie has also had great success in recorded media. Posting regular videos on her YouTube account has helped Frankie to build her online subscribers to over ten thousand, as she films content of her playing games, discussing the community and interviewing key figures. To respond to fan demand, Frankie has also set up a popular podcast called ‘My Life In Pixels’ in which she discusses her life both inside and out of eSports.
