Filiz Akdede is nothing short of an inspiration to women from all walks of life. Initially, she started her journey navigating her role as a Retail Sales Director for the Middle East, Mediterranean, and Africa region. Covering all aspects of the market – from consumer and commercial interactions to public and partner needs – she spent 28 years in an ecosystem that demanded a strong spirit an ambitious attitude.
It was in 2019 that Filiz took her biggest leap; she moved to Barcelona to become HP Large Printers’ General Manager. Having already accumulated 6 years of experience working as the Managing Director for HP Turkey, she was more than prepared to serve the company’s European sector. She’d go on to do so for five years, during which she was selected as one of the “Most Powerful Female CEO in Turkey” by The Economist and Fortune in 2018 and 2022. Additionally, she represented HP on B20 and the OECD Summit as a member of the Employment & Diversity Committee, and even worked as a Board Member of AmCham. Alongside her role as the Lead of the ICT Committee for one of Turkey’s biggest business affiliates, Filiz became an influential figure indeed.
Now, she specialises in balancing her role as the Global Vice President of HP 3D Business with her passion for speaking on digital equity, diversity, and inclusion. As well as being highlighted by Capitalist as one of the “50 Global Women Leaders of Turkey” in 2025, Filiz has taken great strides in levelling the playing field through her involvement with several UNHCR and NGO projects.
