Denise Leigh is a talented opera soprano singer, who captured the hearts of the nation when she and her husband, Stefan Andrusyschyn, auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent 2024 and reached the semi-finals with their moving piano and vocal duet. Before their BGT performance, Denise had already forged a distinguished musical career, having won Channel 4’s “Operatunity” and performed as Gilda in “Rigoletto” at the London Coliseum. Throughout her decorated career as a singer, Denise has faced personal challenges, from battling breast cancer to deteriorating eyesight and blindness. Today, alongside being hired as a singer for corporate and public events, Denise is also called upon to share her inspirational story of overcoming adversity.

Since then, Denise has had the opportunity to perform at BBC Proms in the Park and on esteemed television programmes such as Songs of Praise and Friday Night is Music Night. She was also honoured to participate in the concert tour "A Night At The Opera", alongside esteemed musicians such as Wyn Pencarreg, Jane Gilchrist and Alan Oke. One of her most significant achievements was performing Spirit in Motion by Errollyn Wallen at the 2012 London Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony.
Other prominent performances of Denise’s have included Classic FM Live accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall and at Symphony Hall in Birmingham. She was also commissioned to perform a radio broadcast for the 25th Anniversary of the Equality Act, aired on BBC Radio back in 2020 whilst the world ground to a halt during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her most recent work has encompassed a recital at the Museum of Liverpool in celebration of the Eurovision Festival in Liverpool, Chilcott’s Christmas Oratorio, Ukraine fundraising events in Stoke on Trent and De Montford Hall in Leicester, a recital at Stoke Minster and a powerful concert for the Music of Life Foundation – demonstrating her advocacy for charitable causes, in addition to being a Patron of the Music of Life Foundation.
