Highly regarded publisher, policy expert and commentator on transport, David Begg is the Chief Executive of the Transport Times, the leading UK trade magazine. He is a visiting Professor in sustainable transport at Plymouth University, a Non-Executive Director of First Group and of BAA, and Chairman of the National Infrastructure Commission. Furthermore, he is also a Non-Executive Board Member of Heathrow Airport Holdings Ltd, Chairman of the Sustainability and Operational Risk Committee. A highly regarded individual, David has advised national and local governments on the development and implementation of Britain’s new high-speed railway service High Speed 1 (or HS1) and High Speed 2 (or HS2), transport policies on roads and rail, and has led the Heathrow Winter Resilience Enquiry with great success.
