Physician David Agus is a revered professor who specialises in the subjects of medicine and engineering. A leading figure in the treatment of cancer, David is often seen as a contributor to programmes such as CBS News, sought for his expertise on a variety of topics pivotal to healthcare and medicine. He has also worked as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Cornell University Medical Centre and Director of the Spielberg Family Center for Applied Proteomics.
David is also known for being the co-founder of Navigenics and co-founder of Applied Proteomics. His other prominent roles include former Director of the Louis Warschaw Prostate Cancer Center and an Associate Professor of Medicine for the University of California. David is also the Director of the USC Center for Applied Molecular Medicine, Co-Director of the USC National Cancer Institute Physical Sciences in Oncology Centre and he also chairs the Global Agenda Council on Genetics for the World Economic Forum. David has also authored the books The Lucky Years, The End of Illness and A Short Guide to a Long Life, all three of which have been recognised as New York Times Bestsellers.
Throughout the course of his career, Dr David has earned many awards for his talents. He has claimed the American Cancer Society Physician Research Award and the CaP CURE Young Investigator Award. He has also been the recipient of the American Society of Clinical Oncology Fellowship Award, the Clinical Scholar Award, the Rock Stars of Science 2009 award and the HealthNetwork Foundation’s Excellence Award.
