Darren Harriott

Darren Harriott is one of the most exciting comedians on the circuit, best known for hosting live at the Apollo, BBC’s New Jack Unplugged and CBBC’s The Dog Ate My Homework. With regular appearances on panel shows such as Mock the Week, Don’t Hate the Playaz and Love Island’s companion show, Aftersun, Darren is well-known all over the nation. In addition to guest appearances on Apprentice: Your Fired, The Great British Bake off: Extra Slice and Russel Howard’s Stand Up Central, Darren is also a contestant in the fifteenth series of Dancing on Ice.

Performing his debut show Defiant at Edinburgh in 2017, Darren was nominated as the Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer for his performance. In 2019 he was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Comedy Show and best show for Good Heart Yute. He has also performed sell-out shows at the infamous Soho Theatre and toured the UK with his shows Visceral and Good Heart Yute. In his comedy routine, he tackles subverting stereotypes, religion and everyday observations in a charming manner, which has seen him immortalised in a mural in Birmingham in celebration of the city’s rising stars.

A popular figure on Comedy Central, Darren frequently features on Comedy Bus and Roast Battle. He also recently wrote and recorded Black Label, a four-part series on BBC Radio 4. A regular face at the best comedy clubs in the country, Darren can be seen performing at 99 Club, Top Secret, The Boar Show, Backyard Comedy Club, Up the Creek, and The Glee.
