In 2024, she made history as the first trans woman to portray the leading trans character in a professional North American production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert - a groundbreaking moment in theatre.
Christina’s passion for performance began early, fuelled by her studies in musical theatre and her first major role as Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls. After touring globally in Legends in Concert as part of a Blues Brothers tribute act, she was inspired to create her own variety show, drawing on her exceptional skills as a multi-vocal impersonator. These formative years shaped her versatility and resilience, building the stage presence and narrative skill that now define her keynote speaking. Her international experiences, including USO tours in Bosnia and Kosovo for both US and UN Peace Keeping Forces, deepened her understanding of cultural connection through performance.
Over the course of her career, Christina has achieved notable success as an award-winning screenwriter and producer, with films selected for nine international film festivals. She co-wrote and produced the psychological thriller She Came Back, starring Colm Feore and Amybeth McNulty, now streaming on Apple TV. As a playwright and composer, she created No Chance in Hell, a musical comedy that won Best of Fest and Patron’s Pick at the Toronto International Fringe Festival, selling out most performances. The show later received a star-studded staged reading in New York City featuring Broadway’s Robert Cuccioli and Chilina Kennedy, further cementing Christina’s reputation as a multi-talented creative force.
As a keynote speaker, Christina brings authenticity, warmth and a rare ability to combine education with entertainment. Her signature talk, Key Change: A Trans Journey from ‘Divo’ to ‘Diva’, offers an engaging and insightful exploration of gender transition, identity, resilience and inclusion. Feedback From Virtual Events & Webinars:
“Your ‘Divo to Diva’ presentation was beyond fantastic! You explained a controversial subject in a kind, thought provoking, and captivating way. Every question I had about why someone would transition was answered… even questions I hadn’t thought of. Clearly a great deal of effort and hard work has been put into this project to develop it into an outstanding presentation. It’s well-thought-out and presented in an extremely entertaining way with dignity and compassion. You had the entire audience mesmerized from start to finish. Without doubt, this is of ‘Ted Talk’ quality.” - Elwood Saracuse ESP Entertainment
“Within the first few minutes, I knew I was in for something special; something unique. It turned out to be so much more. I want to say it was entertaining because it certainly was. But it was enlightening, profound and so beautifully done. You were telling us about your experience, but it felt like I was experiencing your experience… taking your journey and really understanding what it might be like to be trans. In the moment, I had no idea how much I was learning. The way you integrate story, music and experience is incredibly powerful. It was a beautiful experience I won’t soon forget.” - Joan Kay
“The story being told is much more than the trajectory of Christina’s transition. The audience is exposed to the healing powers of love, kindness, integrity and forgiveness.
As we watch the unfolding of the emotions that followed each step of the transition process, we are offered an opportunity to heal our most private wounds.
When the show ends, we find ourselves as a better people, more hopeful and compassionate than before.” - Almeiri, Modern Meditators
