Chris is the founder and lead designer of Greenbook Landscape Design, a company that specialises in creating bespoke gardens that reflect clients’ personalities while also focusing on sustainability through the use of locally sourced materials and eco-friendly practices. Chris has over 16 years of experience working on high-end residential, public realm and community-based projects across the UK and abroad. Chris started out as a gardener and completed a BSc in Garden Design. This, along with his background in Ecology and Conservation, allows him to create gardens that are both beneficial to the surrounding environment and wildlife, as well as attractive. Chris is a presenter on BBC’s Garden Rescue where he collaborates with designers Charlie Dimmock, Lee Burkhill and Flo Headlam to transform gardens across the UK. Chris is also an advocate for mental health after experiencing it first-hand in his family. He advocates for what can be done to better the lives of those affected by mental health illnesses. People are heavily rooted in his work, with him believing that people should be part of every garden project.
Chris’s dedication to innovative and sustainable design has earned him several accolades. He has recently won gold at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show for co-designing the ‘Microbiome Garden’ for Bowel Research UK. He has also been recognised in Pro Landscaper’s “30 Under 30” awards and has had his work featured in publications such as Pro Landscaper and Dream Garden Magazines.
