Anthony Clark

Anthony Clark is a former Team GB Badminton player, retiring from international badminton in 2011. Having played at the highest level within the sport, Anthony is now an Ambassador for Badminton England. One of Great Britain's most notorious badminton players, Anthony has accumulated over one-hundred caps for England, winning a total of seven Commonwealth medals, two World Championship medals as well as representing Great Britain at two Olympic Games.

Anthony's career has been one that has progressed quickly, and as a result of training six days in a week, Anthony had made the England team within two years. At the young age of just sixteen, Anthony became junior National Champion and at twenty-three, won the first of what was to be a record of nine, successive national senior titles.

Throughout his competing career, Anthony has represented Team GB at both the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games. He also reached the mixed doubles final at the 2006 IBF World Championships along with Donna Kellogg.

His world class badminton career has been built on a mixture of technical ability, determination and a desire to meet any challenge and the ever important ability to create unique relationships. Anthony now sets out to share his knowledge, experience and dedication to the sport with everyone who has a passion for sport.

Additionally, Anthony has also been selected as one of four coaches in the country top be part of the Elite Coach Programme, and is also the Performance Director for Leicestershire Schools Badminton as well as recently becoming the lead commentator in the New National Badminton League which is covered live on Sky Sports.
