Anna Greenland is an expert gardener and cook at the forefront of the rapidly growing organic movement. A highly sought-after horticultural consultant, Anna supplies her premium, locally grown produce to some of the most prestigious venues and Michelin-starred chefs, including Raymond Blanc and Tom Aikens. With over a decade of experience in gardening, Anna has extensive knowledge of how to grow organic vegetables, fruit, and herbs to create the best quality ingredients with maximum flavour.
Beginning her career as a model, Anna developed a passion for gardening when she sought a more rural lifestyle after a fast-paced career on the catwalk. She moved to Cornwall and found a great opportunity to work at the iconic Vegetable Garden at The Lost Garden of Heligan. During the same period, Anna supplied Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall with organic produce. Seeking to expand her gardening knowledge further, Anna went on to complete a degree in Ecological Horticulture at the University of California. After developing her expertise, she proceeded to set up a sustainable programme at Huntington Botanical Gardens in LA. Anna was also responsible for designing the first vegetable garden at Kew Gardens.
Moreover, Anna ran the double Michelin-starred chef Raymond Blanc’s vegetable garden at Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saison, Oxford. She has also served as the Head Gardener at Soho Farmhouse, where she grew some of the best quality vegetables, fruit, and herbs from scratch. Her accomplished work in horticulture won Anna Gold and Best in Show for her Herbs for Preserve Garden at the Hampton Court Flower Show in 2018. Furthermore, she made an appearance in the TV show Kew on a Plate and contributed her work in the Kew Garden into an accompanying book.
On a mission to propel the grow-your-own philosophy to the mainstream, Anna shares her profound horticultural knowledge on her growing Instagram page, which showcases tips and techniques on gardening and cooking with homegrown produce. Anna is also the proud author of Grow Easy, which inspires people to grow their own produce in a sustainable, organic, and cost-effective manner. Fully embracing the organic movement and lifestyle, Anna is very passionate about gardening and enjoys sharing her expertise with an audience when booked as a speaker.
