Andrea Lanfri

Andrea Lanfri is an incredible and inspirational mountain climber. In 2015 when he was only 29, he was hospitalised for seven months due to fulminant meningitis with meningococcal sepsis. Ultimately Andrea had both legs amputated along with seven of his fingers. Now a record-breaking paralympic athlete and motivational speaker, Andrea is highly sought after to share his story of determination and triumph. 

Prior to this period of his life, Andrea enjoyed mountain climbing near his hometown in Italy. After being hospitalised and enduring several amputations and a coma, Andrea decided not to let this stop him from doing what he loved. It was within a year that Andrea had joined the Italian national athletics team and went on to win silver and bronze medals at the European and World Para Athletic Championships between 2016 and 2018. 

Later, he transitioned back to mountaineering where he continued to achieve impressive goals. Andrea became the first multiple amputee with both leg and arm amputations to climb Mount Everest. Additionally, he set a Guinness World Record for the fastest high-altitude mile run, just before he set off to climb Everest. Andreas incredible achievements have been recognised and there is now a documentary called Everest with Three Fingers which highlights his story of determination and success. His ambitious ‘From 0 to 0’ project, combining running, cycling, and mountain climbing, further establishes him as a true inspiration and an individual who is willing to push boundaries.
