Aisha Adkins is a soul-bearing writer, sought-after international speaker, and steadfast organiser who is passionate about building an equitable, inclusive, and comprehensive public health and care infrastructure using media, storytelling, and culture and policy change.
She earned her Master’s of Public Administration on the Nonprofit Management Track with an individual concentration in Public Health and Sociology from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies in 2020. While there, she also became a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP).
She carved out a niché for herself in 2017 when she founded Our Turn 2 Care, a nonprofit organization that connected BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ millennial caregivers to information, resources, and each other. The organization merged with Love Labor Project in 2021, revisiting OT2C later that year, and finally making the choice to pivot from direct support to focus her attention on advocacy.
In 2021, she joined Caring Across Generations, where she serves as Constituency Organizer. In this role, she is honored to organize family caregivers, older adults, and people with disabilities to collectively transform the way care is given, received, and viewed in the U.S.
