Abbi Summers

Abbi Summers has over a decade of experience as a freelance journalist, having featured in Sony Sport, TalkSPORT & DR Sports Media to name a few. Recently, it has been announced that Abbi will be joining the Lionesses as they travel across the World in their 2023 World Cup campaign which will be held in Australia and New Zealand. Abbi will be around the Lionesses’ camp as they prepare to add to their European success, utilising the expertise she has gained over a long and successful career to share exclusive insight on the up-and-coming Women’s Football World Cup.

Having studied at Immanuel College, Abbi was offered a placement in TeamTalk Towers where she gained the necessary broadcasting experience for her to kickstart her career. Whilst with TeamTalk Abbi produced segments for SkySports News Radio. After this work experience, in 2011 Abbi landed a Sales and Admin role with X-Pole UK before then being promoted to the UK and EU Sales and Account Manager.

Abbi first began her journalism career in 2012 as a Freelance Broadcast Journalist and has proven her talents in front of the camera, able to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere, or remain professional when the situation occurs. Abbi is incredibly dedicated to all of the jobs she works on, striving to be the best whenever she can, always ensuring she puts the pleasure of the viewers first. Abbi with be part of Google’s ‘Team Pixel’ when she heads out to Australia and New Zealand following the Lionesses' progress as they prepare for the World Cup.

As Abbi will be on the ground with the Women’s Football Team she will get an exclusive insight into their training regime, as well as the opportunity to give exclusive interviews to our players for 5 weeks.
