Dr. Orion Taraban is a renowned Licensed Psychologist whose mission is to reduce the amount of unnecessary suffering in the world by sharing his knowledge across social media. As the creator and presenter of the PsycHacks podcast, he has built a following of over 1 million people by using his platform to help audiences see something about the world, or themselves, in a different light. After obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University, Orion gained a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, San Francisco Bay in 2013. Whilst continuing his professional studies, he gained real-world experience working as an Adjunct Professor at Baruch College, followed by serving as a Psychotherapist at Ohloff Recovery Programs. Through providing care for those suffering from substance use spectrum disorders in the intensive outpatient clinical setting and co-facilitating psychoeducational groups, he gained an abundance of hands-on knowledge that solidified his passion for supporting others. Additionally, Orion worked as a Psychotherapist at OMI Family Centre, followed by a Psychology Internship at Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area in 2014, where he received further extensive training in the theory and practical sides of psychology from licensed psychologists.
Alongside his work, from 2011, Orion earned his Doctor of Psychology from Alliant International University, showing his expertise. Graduating in 2016, he served as a Psychological Assistant at the Wise Mind Institute, followed by an Adjunct Professor at Alliant International University, where he designed and implemented a 15-week-long graduate course. In recent times, Orion is the Director of SellarGRE, a company he founded in 2012, to provide individualised instruction to adult learners and small group classes. Alongside working as a psychologist in private practice, Orion runs the 24/7 guidance support system, Orion AI, where he brings psychology and relationship insights into an innovative and interactive conversation.
