Holly Mead is an award-winning financial journalist, broadcaster and event host who is best known as a financial expert on ITV’s Good Morning Britain. She is also the former Deputy Money Editor at The Times & Sunday Times and has appeared across BBC Radio, LBC, Times Radio and TalkTV. With more than 15 years’ experience in the media, Holly is a seasoned interviewer who combines journalistic curiosity with an engaging, down-to-earth style.
With a degree in Multimedia Journalism, Holly started her career as a Staff Writer at the personal finance magazine Money Management and as a Senior Staff Writer at the Money Observer. Holly joined the Daily Mail as a Money Mail Reporter in 2014 before becoming an Investment & Markets Correspondent. After a stint as a freelance journalist, she served as Senior Editor of Morningstar and a year later, Editorial Manager EMEA. In 2021, Holly worked as the Deputy Consumer Editor at The Sun. As Deputy Money Editor at The Times & Sunday Times, she specialised in making complex money topics engaging, accessible and relevant, alongside launching and hosting the Feel Better About Money podcast. Since becoming a freelance journalist in 2025, Holly has written for The Telegraph, The I and The Guardian, alongside frequent appearances on TV and radio.
A multi-award-winning journalist, Holly has received various accolades throughout her career, starting with Newcomer of the Year awards in her early career. Her work as a financial journalist has been recognised with awards from Headline Money, Santander and BIBA. For two consecutive years, she was named Broadcast Journalist of the Year by the Association of Investment Companies. Most recently, Holly received the Commentator of the Year award from Headline Money.
