After studying a degree in IT, Systems Analysis & Design and modelling in the fashion industry to fund her education, Angela worked in tech as a Support Analyst at IBM and Systems Analyst at SD-Scicon, witnessing world-changing events such as the first computer virus being unleashed and paralysing networks worldwide. Angela quickly established herself as a reputable figure in the engineering, science, maths and technology industries. Specialising in science and information technology, she joined the BBC in 1993 and is known for presenting science as fun and entertaining on TV and radio programmes. Angela’s ‘science-with-a-smile’ shows offer a combination of science education and humour, making her an approachable voice on the subject. She is also the Co-Founder & Director of Chaos Films Ltd, creating films for scientific research teams. Her warmth and passion for those working in tech is evident, but so is her understanding of technophobes and those who are uncomfortable with change.
