Shane Ritchie


Actor, singer and television presenter, Shane Richie is a man of many talents. Highly regarded for his personable nature and entertaining act, Shane is now a sought after events host and celebrity figure, available to book for a wide range of events.

Shane initially found fame as an onstage performer, before moving to play the iconic character of Alfie Moon on Eastenders, a popular BBC soap opera. In his youth, he worked as a bluecoat entertainer at Pontins holiday camp, Little Canada, on the Isle of Wight, where he entertained thousands of families a year. From there, his comedy skills flourished as a stand-up entertainer – Shane was even nominated for Best New Stand-Up at the British Comedy Awards.

Taking to the television screen, he regularly appeared on Jameson Tonight, before featuring as a comic on BBC One’s sketch show, Up To Something! in 1990. Most notably, Shane played the character of Alfie Moon in Eastenders, from 2002 to 2019 on and off. A humorous, likeable character, his talented performance and millions of fans kept Shane coming back to the show. Additionally, he took part in a spin-off show entitled Redwater in 2015, for which Shane stated; “to have a whole drama focussed around Kat and Alfie is a huge honour for us both and we just can’t wait to start filming”. As a celebrity figure and events host, Shane is the perfect choice.
