British comedian Bill Barclay began life as a surgeon at Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital, choosing to leave that profession behind more than forty years ago Bill decided to follow his dream of becoming a stand-up comedian, though for him he says he’s still leaving people in stitches!

A humble and genuine human being Bill Barclay is a truly entertaining and ingenious comedian whose work is popular in both the UK and Europe at large, during his career, Barclay has had the privilege to tour around the world performing everywhere from his home town in Scotland to the Middle East, Asia and the Falkland Islands.

Barclay has worked as a comedian both on stage and on television and, as well as working as a stand-up comic, has been employed as a presenter and compere for comedy shows, documentaries and television broadcasts.
