Felix Baumgartner is best known for his world record-breaking skydive with Redbull when he jumped in free-fall from the Earth’s stratosphere. Arguably, Felix’s greatest achievement was his skydive with Redbull, where he broke the record for the highest skydive ever. Armed with a team of scientists, they started working together in 2010. It wasn’t until 2012 that Felix started doing test jumps from 21,818 metres. Prior to opening his parachute, he enjoyed 3 minutes and 43 seconds of free fall. But that was nothing compared to the real jump. Later in 2012, he leapt from a capsule that had floated via a balloon into the Earth’s stratosphere, protected only by a pressurised suit. Felix fell from 38,969.3 metres at a speed of 843.6 mph. His free fall lasted nearly 5 minutes and set a new world record.

Felix’s love of danger started at a young age when he found himself dreaming of skydiving from great heights. By 1999, aged 30, he jumped from the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur and broke the world record for the highest building parachute jump in doing so. Only four years later, he flew across the English Channel thanks to custom-built carbon fibre wings. With a taste for being the first to overcome a dangerous challenge, Felix was soon searching for his next adventure. His taste for heart-racing action is palpable as soon as Felix steps onto the stage, as he retells his stories, his eyes bright, presenting with a ferocious passion, audiences can’t help but be captivated.

Additional achievements include jumping from the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, setting the record for the lowest BASE jump. In 2004, Felix was named the first person to BASE jump from the completed Millau Viaduct, followed by the first person to skydive onto and jump off of the Turning Torso in 2006. Only a year later, he set the highest jump from the then-tallest building in the world, the Taipei 101. Recent successes include a partnership with Audi, where Felix drove an Audi R8 LMS for the 2014 24 Hours of Nurburgring. Felix and his team finished ninth.
