Simon Shaw MBE is a retired rugby union player who played at the elite level throughout the duration of his professional career. Although born in Kenya, Shaw represented England on 71 occasions in an international career that spanned over 15 years. He enjoyed a 23-year career in which he played for three domestic clubs but spent the duration of his domestic career with the London Wasps. Now spending a lot of his time as a rugby speaker, Shaw often reflects on his outstanding career but also discusses vital topics like setting and achieving goals.
One of Shaw’s career highlights and what he will be most remembered for by fans will be his participation in England’s 2003 Rugby World Cup winning squad. He started his career at Bristol in 1990 but moved to the Wasps in 1997. Eventually, he moved to French side Toulon and would remain there until announcing his retirement in 2013. Shaw also represented the British and Irish Lions on two occasions.
Since retiring, Shaw has founded his own business called Simon Shaw Rugby. The company sells a range of different rugby balls which have different individual qualities. Since opening his own business, Shaw has become an expert in a number of business-related topics such as drive and determination.
