Former Indian Cricketer

Indian cricket speaker and former international player, Farokh Engineer embarked on his professional career in the early 1960’s and continued to represent his country for almost fifteen years. Now almost eighty years old, Engineer continues to work as a sports speaker and remains involved in Indian Premier League cricket.

Farokh Engineer was a cricket speaker and the country’s go-to wicket keeper for India from 1961 until 1975, he was known for his stylish yet aggressive batting style and his legbreak bowling style. Retiring as a player in the 1970’s Farokh has gone on to work as a cricket speaker in both England and India.

Farokh played in no less than 46 Test Matches for India during his professional career and five One Day Internationals and is often called upon to recount his experience as an internationally renowned player at specialist cricketer after dinner speaker events.

Playing for both Bombay and Lancashire as part of his domestic career Farokh Engineer continues to work as a cricket speaker for both domestic clubs, attending after dinner speaker events and fundraisers as well as publicity events in both countries. Outside his work as a sports speaker, Farokh has established a career as a cricket speaker and referee for the Indian Premier League
