Valerie Won Lee is a leadership futurist, global impact strategist, author and keynote speaker who helps organisations make better decisions in an increasingly complex, AI-driven world. As the creator of theAI-Augmented Collective Intelligence SIG Framework and the Decision Shapers Framework, Valerie gives leaders practical methods for improving collaboration, aligning stakeholders and navigating uncertainty. Her most significant achievement is developing original decision-making frameworks that combine human intelligence, diverse perspectives, systems thinking and artificial intelligence to support stronger, more defensible organisational decisions.
Valerie spent several years travelling, living and working across more than 30 countries, building cross-cultural fluency through direct experience rather than a conventional academic route. Her formative experiences included humanitarian work with Amnesty International, the Pasteur Institute, the Marie Curie Institute and Safe Passage in Guatemala, where she witnessed the effects of poverty, inequality and conflict. Valerie also developed commercial expertise through positions with LVMH, Issey Miyake, SAP and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, combining relationship-building, negotiation and communication with a growing commitment to social impact. She later became Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement for the United Nations Global Platform on Big Data, working through the UK Office for National Statistics to support international collaboration around data and official statistics.
Across more than 25 years, Valerie has built a career spanning leadership, innovation, technology, branding, humanitarian work and international strategy. She founded World Citizen Artists, a global initiative connecting artists, students, businesses and humanitarian organisations through projects promoting peace, inclusion and human rights. The organisation worked with partners including the Bob Marley Foundation, the Gandhi Foundation and Belgravia Gallery, engaging participants from more than 100 countries. Valerie now serves as Global Leader for the WomenTech Network, APAC and South Korea, and is a Member of the G100 Global Advisory Council. Her expertise has been shared at South Summit Madrid, the QS Higher Ed Summit APAC, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Bristol and Korea University Business School. In 2025, she received the WomenTech Leader of the Year Gold Award and was named one of New In Asia’s Top Voices to Follow in South Korea. Valerie is also the author of ‘Social-Impact-Global: Turning Obstacles Into Bridges’, an Amazon Number One New Release in Nonprofit Marketing and Communications, and ‘Decision Shapers’, which examines the forces influencing group decisions.
Organisations hire Valerie because she turns complex ideas into practical tools that leaders can apply immediately. She speaks on artificial intelligence, collective intelligence, resilience, cross-cultural leadership, innovation and decision-making under pressure. Valerie helps executives, founders, educators and leadership teams reduce blind spots, improve judgement and create environments where people can contribute more effectively. Her engaging delivery, international perspective and practical methods make her a strong choice for events seeking meaningful insight, audience participation and lasting organisational impact.
