Sir Trevor Phillips OBE is highly respected as the Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). Having been a keen diversity and inclusion activist since being at school, he became the first black President of the National Union of Students. A talented professional, he served as chairman of the Assembly until 2003, when he was appointed to the Commission for Racial Equality. Also serving as the Chairman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Trevor utilised his respected position to implement positive change throughout society, a trait which is admired to this day.
