Tom’s journey into broadcasting started long before most people finish school. At 14, he was already covering drive-time at a local Preston station, learning how to think fast and speak clearly under pressure. By 16, he had completed the GMG Radio Future Factories course, giving him early insight into professional broadcasting standards. While studying at university, Tom worked at Capital Radio, sharpening his presenting style and discovering his instinct for humour driven storytelling. In 2013, aged just 19, he was appointed Weekend Breakfast Presenter and Lead Drive-Time Cover at Capital FM Yorkshire, a role that placed him in front of large audiences and forced him to develop confidence, pace and comic timing at speed.

As his career progressed, Tom’s reputation as a host who could both entertain and lead a show grew quickly. After joining Bauer Media in 2015, he presented on The Hits, before moving to KISS FM Evening Show Presenter in 2017, where his personality flourished.
