Toby Moody

Toby Moody is a legendary commentator, host and journalist whose 25 years of experience makes him one of the most recognisable voices in motorsports. He is best known for his 18 years as lead commentator for MotoGP, but his extensive career has also led to the development of a wide knowledge on F1, WRC, Le Mans 24hrs and historic racing. Initially working as a Mechanic for Benetton Formula One Team and Prodrive, Toby's commentary career began aged 18 at the Shelsley Walsh Speed Hill Climb. Moody chose not to attend University as he felt hard work and networking would get him further towards achieving his goals. This was realised in 1996 when he got his big break for MotoGP as the lead commentator, a position he held for 18 years. During this time, Moody was also the Lead Commentator for the British Touring Car Championship & British Superbike for ITV4, the Trackside Commentator for Goodwood Festival of Speed, 8 x Lead Commentator for the Dakar Rally, Canon Williams F1 PR, Nissan British Rally Championship team PR and part of BT Sports MotoGP 4k commentary.

More recently, Moody has worked as the media manager for the Bahrain Raid Xtreme Dakar Rally team in 2022 and 2023, a presenter and commentator at Le Mans 24 hours for Live International feed and highlight programmes and the official DVD and as a lead host for X Games in LA. His in-depth knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport has resulted in the worldwide broadcasting of his commentary and helps ensure his talks are captivating and entertaining.
