Robert Webb is a talented English comedian, actor, and writer, best known as one-half of the comedy duo Mitchell and Webb. Having starred in shows such as Peep Show, The Mitchell and Webb Look, and The Smoking Room, he has taken the industry by storm and is now admired as one of the most successful comedians in the UK. Becoming the longest-running sitcom in Channel 4 history, the duo secured numerous awards for their performances on Peep Show, including the 2007 Royal Television Society Award for Best Comedy Performance, and a nomination for the Best Television Comedy Actor, this time without Mitchell, in 2009.
Alongside the duo’s remarkable comedic career, Robert has also developed a successful solo career. Over recent years, he presented ‘Groundbreaking Gags’ on BBC Three, became a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, and guest starred on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs. An inspiration to audiences of all ages and backgrounds, Robert began writing his first solo memoir, How Not to Be a Boy, in 2015, and released it two years later. Soaring to success after its release, the book was featured as BBC Radio 4’s Book of the Week to coincide with the launch. Most recently, Robert published his first novel, Come Again, which portrays ‘exactly the kind of book (he) wants to read’. With his specialist knowledge and experience spanning a wide range of areas, Robert is the perfect addition to events of all kinds.
