Rickie and Melvin first established themselves as leading voices in youth broadcasting through their work on Kiss FM, where they hosted The Kiss Breakfast Show alongside Charlie Hedges for an impressive 12 years. Their entertaining blend of humour, celebrity interviews and music quickly earned a loyal following and cemented their reputation as one of the UK's leading breakfast radio teams. Their success was recognised with major industry acclaim, including a Silver Sony Radio Award before securing the prestigious Gold Sony Radio Award for The Breakfast Show. Alongside their radio success, the pair expanded into television, taking on presenting roles for MTV Digs on MTV One before fronting MTV Music Junkie. They also showcased their lively presenting style on Pop Up Pop Quiz across 4Music and T4 on Channel 4, further demonstrating their versatility as broadcasters.

Building on their success, Rickie and Melvin joined BBC Radio 1, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their broadcasting careers.
