Pete Cooper

Pete Cooper is a renowned strategic security leader working at the intersection of private and public sectors as well as the hacker community. He led the transformation of the UK Government Cyber Security with the first UK Government Cyber Security Strategy, was Founder of the Aerospace Village and Cyber 9/12 UK. Pete specialises in strategic leadership, coaching and mentoring senior leaders on developing robust visions and objectives as well as the strategies to achieve them. Pete is now available to speak at a wide range of events, exhibiting his expertise in strategic leadership and cyber security.

Pete possesses a Master’s in Cyberspace operations from Cranfield University and has led an illustrious career in this field. He has been a Committee Member of the Cyber Security Working Group at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a Cyber Strategy Advisor at the IATA, and is also the Founder of the UK Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge.

Former CEO of Pavisade, a cybersecurity strategy and advisory, Pete also worked as the Deputy Director of Cyber Defence for the Cabinet Office in the UK. He served as the cybersecurity lead for the government and was responsible for the new government cybersecurity strategy, security standards and assurance. Pete is also now a Non-resident Senior Fellow for the Atlantic Council where he works with the cyber statecraft initiative in their endeavour to anticipate future cyber safety issues and work on solutions for these issues.
