Ollie Phillips

Former English professional rugby union player, Ollie Phillips is the most successful England rugby sevens captain. After an unbelievably successful rugby career he is now a successful businessman in one of the world's largest professional service networks, PWC. A hugely inspirational individual with many talents, from leading expeditions and holding four Guinness World Records to dominating rugby and becoming a well established motivational speaker. Within rugby Ollie was a massive success in both the 15-a-side game and also the Olympic version which is the Rugby Sevens. Named the most successful England Rugby Sevens captain, Ollie skillfully led his team to three World Series Cup victories.

While captaining England Sevens he was also playing professionally for four clubs in England and France, Newcastle Falcons, Harlequins, Stade Francais and Gloucester Rugby. During this time period he played in three Heineken Cups and a European Cup Final. Since retiring from rugby Ollie has made a big name for himself as a motivational speaker which has spiralled from his role as Director at PWC. In 2018 he set up Optimist Performance which allows him to consult and speak to companies and individuals surrounding topics such as Teamwork, Leadership, Resilience and Change.

Ollie is a sought after motivational speaker all over the globe and has delivered talks and workshops for a variety of clients, including, Google, Tesco, Gatorade, AJG, Clear Channel, Accenture, Schlumberger, Dark Horses and UBS Wealth Management Throughout his career in rugby Ollies has been named IRB International Sevens Player of the Year in 2009 whilst also being voted French Overseas Player of the Year in 2011. However since retiring Ollie has also gained some huge personal achievements as an avid charity supporter.

For the likes of Cancer Research UK, Alzheimers Society, Street Child and Wooden Spoon Ollie has sailed around the world, cycled across America and run marathons in Africa. Ollie continuously pushes boundaries and headed to the North Pole where he completed a 100-mile trek to the Magnetic North Pole and hosted the 'Most Northerly Rugby Match' which broke the Guinness World Record.
