After his grandfather heroically survived imprisonment, Ndaba moved to live with him, where he spent two decades following in his footsteps. Entering the professional environment, Ndaba started as a Political Consultant for the Japanese Embassy before moving on to a senior position at Investec. However, with such a prominent upbringing, Ndaba knew his future was in social work, and continuing the legacy. Utilising his platform to raise awareness of important issues, Ndama has collaborated with the likes of Prince Harry and Sir Elton John to reduce the stigma surrounding the AIDs/HIV epidemic and he is currently an ambassador for UNAIDS.
An accomplished author, Ndaba published ‘Going to the Mountain: Life Lessons from My Grandfather, Nelson Mandela’ which explored creating legacies and giving back to society as the late leader had done. Named amongst the 28 Men of Change by BET, Ndaba is recognised as an influential Black African whose impact is undeniable.
