Nail Abdulrashid is a hilarious stand-up comedian and the BGT finalist who received Alesha Dixon's golden buzzer in 2020. As a multi-faceted act, Nabil wrote, directed and starred in 'The Show Sho Show' on AKA and was the youngest black comedian to perform stand-up at the Hammersmith Apollo. Praised by comedy critics and audiences for his honesty, Nabil brings his own experiences into his comedy, often speaking about the intersections of British and Muslim identity. Nabil brings fun, upbeat and well-crafted comedy to his events, making him the perfect entertainment for conferences, award ceremonies and formal dinners.
After creating his hit show for the AKA channel, Nabil continued to stand out on the comedy circuit, becoming the joint winner of the 'Which Religion Is Funniest?' competition, judged by comedy legends David Baddiel and Omid Djalili. In 2011, Nabil toured his 'Don't Panic, I'm Islamic!' set with the Peace Youth and Community Trust's (PYCT) first Muslim Comedy Tour. In 2013, he co-founded Norbury Comedy Club with Ola Gbaja and was a finalist in both the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year and the Laughing Horse New Act competitions. Throughout his career, Nabil has appeared on a variety of popular shows, including 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News for You and The Last Leg. Most recently, he appeared in Channel 4 Comedy 'The Pharmacy'. He also brings his hysterical jokes to corporate events such as the Reddit Christmas Party, the Oscars night Gala at Intercontinental Park Lane and the corporate fundraiser for SICM.
In 2020, Nabil won the Joe.co.uk TV Comedian of the Year and was nominated for Best Performance at the National Reality TV Awards. Nabil has toured several successful comedy shows, including his 'Urban Battuta' show, which travelled internationally in 2024. Alongside this, Nabil has performed at the Comedy Cafe, Comedy Store, Jongleurs and Choice FM Comedy Club. With his larger-than-life persona, Nabil voiced multiple characters for Disney's Iwájú in 2024. As a committed advocate for a range of causes, Nabil is passionate about his charitable work. He supports the AP Foundation and is actively involved in promoting prisoners’ human rights, tackling gang and knife crime, and helping orphaned children in Africa.
