The first female winner of The Apprentice, Michelle Dewberry is an entrepreneur who runs successful online shopping website Daily Chic and the site Like Bees which provides families with the latest discounts and offers. A truly inspirational individual, Michelle has had an eye for business from an early age, becoming a network analyst at Hull’s biggest telecommunications company before the age of 25. An extremely driven and hardworking individual after starting off in an administration position, she taught herself the skills needed to become a fully qualified MCP and earning a promotion to network analyst.
After seven years of telecommunications experience and then three years helping companies to relocate elements of their business overseas. Following on from these roles, Michelle decided to enter the second series of the reality show The Apprentice in the hope of working alongside business magnate Lord Sugar. She fought off competition from more than 15,000 people to be crowned the winner earning herself a £100,000 a year job in his company.
After one year working with Lord Sugar, Michelle left to open her own consultancy. Early last year she began her latest venture Likebees.com which focuses on helping families find the latest bargains and discounts on products. Away from Business, Michelle has also had a successful journalistic career, in 2009 she joined Business Matters magazine writing a monthly column regarding all the latest issues affecting the industry.
She also regularly reviews the day’s newspapers on Sky News alongside Eamonn Holmes. Her insight has also been used by the Government sitting on a Conservative conference during a debate surrounding employment in the UK featuring George Osbourne and Chris Grayling. This is a subject she is extremely passionate on and she travels up and down the country running CV workshops to help give people the best possible chance of finding a job.
